Kasumi and Izumi can increase their Magic Power simply by using normal magic through the usual assistance of their CADs. ![]() ![]() The spells they cast together are stronger than the ones they cast separately, leading them to be given the reputation that "the Saegusa twins can only reveal their true strength when they are together". This means that when one uses magic, the other's Magic Calculation Area is also stimulated. Izumi and Kasumi also bear the ability to "Resonate" with each other. With Izumi, their ability to discern the identity of invoked sequences might be even greater than Mayumi’s own. With her younger twin sister and Mayumi, they shared a similar sharp sensitivity toward magic, it means that the practice was superior to her ability with theory. During the club recruitment week, Kasumi had an argument with Shippou Takuma of the Club Management Group and who is openly hostile towards anyone from the Saegusa Clan but the matter is settled before any escalation could occur. Unlike her twin Izumi, Kasumi declines joining the Student Council but decides to join the Public Morals Committee at the suggestion Counselor Ono Haruka after hearing Tatsuya's accomplishments on the Public Morals Committee last year. Kasumi is in shock by this revelation when she is unable to see any indication that her sister is lying but is even more shocked and unable to recover when she learns from Izumi that Tatsuya became Mayumi's support during the Crowd Ball Competition because it was Izumi, not her who had noticed that an annoying bug is clinging to their older sister. ![]() While waiting for the entrance ceremony to begin, Izumi tells Kasumi the achievements of Tatsuya during the Nine Schools Competition last year as a Magic Engineer where the competitors under his charge were undefeated until they competed against each other. She is suspicious of any man who gets near Mayumi, shown not only by her reaction to Tatsuya, but also by Hattori's reaction when seeing her name on the list of candidates to join the School Council. She radiates an aggressive aura towards him, attempts to use magic on him, rejects any chance of familiarity between them, is jealous and wary of him and accepts her position in the Public Morals Committee in an attempt to show him up. When meeting Tatsuya for the first time, she assumes that he is after her elder sister Mayumi and calls him a "skirt chaser". Despite looking identical to her twin, Izumi, they are polar opposites in personalities. Kasumi is a bit of a tomboy with a bob-like hairstyle without any curls, and two small ribbons.
